PLYMOUTH – With the gubernatorial primary election less than two months away, the state’s three Democratic candidates traveled to the Lakes Region on July 15 to discuss an array of topics including housing, state revenue and education.

HANOVER—The three candidates hoping to become the Democratic nominee for New Hampshire governor pitched themselves to young voters at Dartmouth on Wednesday as they tackled issues such as climate change, housing, and voting access.

From the Portsmouth Herald: “The New Hampshire state primary is Sept. 10, more than four months away, but Democratic voters filled the historic Town Hall Sunday to hear the party's three gubernatorial candidates answer questions from a panel of high school students…”

“This package of fearmongering bills targeting our already vulnerable youth population is just another attempt by the dying Republican Party to avoid addressing the real problems Granite Staters face,” said Kiper.

“We need to stand up for transgender people today, because if the GOP has its way, the rights of all Granite Staters will soon be in jeopardy,” said Kiper. “As governor, I will oppose the marginalization of any Granite Stater. In the Live Free or Die state, our live-and-let-live culture must be honored at the top levels of government.

Jon’s commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of our community, coupled with his hands-on leadership, convinces me that he is the governor NH needs.
